Katharina & Thomas: a special tent wedding on their own farm and it was raining cats and dogs that day. But the couple's dream was to have an outdoor wedding ceremony on their meadow with the forest in the background. The day before, the weather forecast predicted rain only in the evening, so we decorated the wedding ceremony outdoors - wedding arch & about 1000 flowers individually planted in the ground. At the time of the ceremony it was raining cats and dogs, the bad weather alternative would have been in the tent (dinner location) without decorations for the ceremony. However, it would not have created the same atmosphere and did not meet the expectations of the bride and groom, so we went ahead with the outdoor ceremony in the rain.
We organized all the umbrellas we could for the guests, the bridal couple, photo & video team, wedding speaker and I got wet. Despite the rain, the atmosphere was fantastic and the love of the couple was palpable and celebrated. Couple photo shoot in the rain, but definitely not the mood. The guests„ tent stayed dry, but the kitchen tent unfortunately “flooded", so we had to fetch some straw from the cowshed.
